Get this fabulous JAR while I have IT! I sold one other 2 years ago and WE OWN one that my husband won't let go! THIS IS INDEED RARE! LARGE Vintage Libbey Glass Jug 5 Gallon BICENTENNIAL 1776-1976 Stars Eagles/Stars Arrows Olive Branch/Rare Vintage Mid Century Libbey! This is a Vintage 1976 Libbey glass 5 gallon glass milk jug, can or JAR? You decide. In the clear color with a pretty blue tint in the glass. It has an eagle on each side with stars. On bottom it has 1776 with a leaf wreath around it. Perhaps a laurel wreath? This stands 19" tall and will hold 5 gallons of liquid, I think. I'm not going to measure it but go by what I've heard. The opening is 5 inches and the base is 11 inches. The wides part around measures 35 inches. These were made to celebrate the bicentennial in 1976. These are not that easy to find. This jar/jug has no damage. No chips or cracks. There is a mode flaw going up both sides. I own one and it has the identical flaw mine does. Feel patriotic when you own and display this. 07232023 16172822L
